COVID-19 Exposure at BlueWater Resort & Casino
On September 22nd, 2020 an employee of the Blue Water Resort & Casino tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The employee reported to work on the premises September 15th, 16th, and 17th from 6 am to 2 pm and September 18th from 6 am to 12 pm. The employee wore a face mask at all times while working and had been screened daily for COVID-19 symptoms. The employee has not returned to the facility and will remain on leave until testing negative for COVID-19.
All employees potentially exposed have been notified of the possible exposure. In response to this recent exposure ALL employees of the Blue Water Resort & Casino and Tribal Gaming Agency will be tested for COVID-19 on September 24, 2020. Frequent sanitation, screening of employees and patrons and the use of face masks and other personal protective equipment will continue.
With the required use of face masks by staff and patrons, frequent sanitation protocols, and capacity limitations, the risk of transmission is low. However, all employees and the public are urged to stay alert for the symptoms of COVID-19 and seek medical attention should they have any symptoms.
